The service at Islands was wonderful. All smiling faces and greetings during my solo dining this past Friday night. The food came out and was delicious. The new hibiscus agua fresca was delightful! I also had the Bleunami on wheat bread sans lettuce and red onion with sweet potato fries and ranch. All good food. Filling and the evening was filled with a lively ambience. I recommend.

Clean sports bar restaurant full of Island vibes. Kids' amenities are great. Booster didn't take up much space in the booth and was perfect. Kilauea or Jalapeño burger was good. Wish there was more sauce to make the flavors blend throughout the burger. I want to add those fried onions to other burgers too. Malibu burger was also good with the smoked hickory bacon. Fries are plenty. I wish we ordered one burger and maybe a salad to share. Kids had some fries after a quick lunch at home and we still didn't finish our burgers as the portions were generous! I think the fries are good. Feels fresh but feel better than in-N-out burger (I now know I should always ask for well done there). Mocha cookie ice cream cake was fun! It is always common with ice cream cake was it is a bit hard to eat and there is no way to take down leftovers home but it was good! Loved the passionfruit fresh tea. Not sure if the fruity flavor was enough for me to enjoy the flavors but it was still a refreshing taste with no sugar. Waitress was attentive throughout the meals. Parking is so easy as it is surrounded by other restaurants and store in the area with plenty of parking. Bathrooms were not so kid friendly. Wish they had a stool.

Abner was very attentive and helpful server, restaurant was clean but very busy for a Sunday night. Only waited about 15 mins. Had a party of 5. Food was well prepared and tasted good.

I am a bit biased when it comes to Islands- I used to be a trainer at a different store and I always look to see if there are certain things in place. Are my drinks coming out in a timely manner? Is my food correct? Is my server checking in on my table ever so often? Today we decided to sit at the bar for happy hour, the great thing about Islands is that kids can sit at the bar since it is full menu. We sat at the high tops and got a happy hour spinach and artichoke dip and a few beers. I ordered a tortilla soup (the best way to eat it is with cilantro, a bit of lemon juice and a dash of cholula! I promise that you won't regret it!). While we waited for our food, we took in the ambiance, not overly crowded (it was a Thursday) and not too loud in the bar area, which was great as we had our kids. Our food came out in a timely manner and I really like seeing that the manager was helping out his staff running food! Our server was the bartender and was awesome! I wish I would have gotten his name! He was here, he was there- making drinks, running food, attending to his tables and never ignoring a customer nor making them feel as though what you were asking for was a burden. I have been to this Islands many times before but tonight was a great overall experience!

I'm always down for Islands and I can't recall being disappointed. Today was no exception. I usually stick with The Pelican, but tried the Moa Crisp today. It was delicious. Onion rings were delicious. Service was perfect! Islands is Islands. What else can you say!
